There is an easy modification to the bodice which I will show you.
First you want to take your bodice piece and measure an inch from the under arm out. Your line has to run perpendicular with your shoulder seam. As you can see with the picture my rulers numbers 7 &11 are running in line with the top (shoulder seam) of the pattern piece. You will also notice where the red pen is pointing is where the underarm is, that is where you measure an inch over.
Your line should now look like this. The RED line! Notice it does not run parallel with the sleeve hem.
Lay out your sleeve piece and cut your fabric!
The long sleeve is designed as a slimmer fitting sleeve so you will have to stretch, the sleeve, gently to fit the bodice. Find the middle of your sleeve and put it on the shoulder sleeve of your partially assembled bodice and then match up the ends of the sleeve to the edge of the armscye of the bodice stretching gently to fit.
Here is the finished Tammy Dress with the peplum length!
Hope you enjoy the Tammy Dress just as much as we do!
